DJ Menace admits that when he first moved to Dallas in 2013, he didn’t realize that such an active Hip-Hop community existed here. Menace is not new to the game, he has a long-established career in Hip-Hop from spinning records, to producing, to working the underground circuit. However, he is new to Dallas, and the Triple D is fortunate to have him on the scene. His name is DOOM! By Justin Livingston

I can think of no other player since the late great Kirby Puckett, that I have loved, admired, and enjoyed watching more than Adrian Beltre. By far one of the most honorable and respected Rangers in history. Today he goes into the books a Texas Legend and a Hero of Baseball lore as he becomes only the 31st player to get 3,000-hits. The monumental feat makes him the 3rd 3rd baseman to ever rack up as many hits. Beltre belted a double to left field off Wade Miley in the bottom of the 4th inning of a 10 - 5 loss to the Orioles on July 30th 2017 at Globe Life Park to a packed house. He was honored by his team and family as they all joined him on the field to celebrate a life long achievement. I have gathered a collection of articles and quotes to remember and mark this historic day. Congrats Beltre! By Justin Livingston
With birds chirping and the wind blowing it would be hard to conceive such an intense and surreal tragic scene if there weren't students panicking and police officers holding assault rifles everywhere you looked. The incident happened around 11:30 and it was hard to distinguish between this experience and the many active shooter drills that the campus police, headed by Joe Santos, have performed over the years. Kathleen Stockmier and I were in the Newsroom located in the A Building when the chaos broke out after a shooter opened fire on a female student and then eventually turned the gun on himself. We followed the active shooter protocol that the North Lake Police had drilled us on many times before. By Justin Livingston

Heavy hands and precise fingers pound away on a keyboard as Mike Rich, a North Lake College Video Tech student known to many by his stage name Mike Miller, navigates his way through YouTube to find the newly released Star Wars movie trailer. Don Cheadle Still Proving He is Miles Ahead
By Justin Livingston Don Cheadle makes his directing debut with the release of Miles Ahead, a biopic about the legendary trumpet player Miles Davis, which he not only co-wrote and stars in, but also partially funded. Traditionally, biopics are told in cradle-to-grave format, a recent rising trend for film makers is to depict a smaller portion of their subject’s lives’. Miles Ahead examines the period in Davis’s career/life around the early 70s, in which he mysteriously stops recording music and disappears from the public eye. By Justin Livingston
Connor Posey is a man of action. As a kid, he taught himself to play the guitar. At 18, he moved to Austin to break into the music scene. Now he is planning to move to New York to pursue a career in comedy. A self-admitted class clown, Posey remembers most of his friends and family telling him he should be a stand-up comedian. When he was 12, he received a copy of the book Brain Droppings by the legendary comedian George Carlin.
